Restore an SSL certificate from CPANEL
How to restore an SSL certificate using CPANEL SSL Cert Backups?
After accessing your CPANEL, you’ll see under “JetBackup” category an icon labeled “SSL Cert Backups”, as demonstrated below:
Clicking “SSL Cert Backups” icon will lead you to the following page:
You have the option to generate a download of the desired SSL certificate. Please note that you are warned that the system saves only 1 download on the server and by downloading the current SSL certificate, older downloads (if existent) will be deleted. Click the “OK” button to generate the download and then download the desired SSL certificate to your computer.
You also have the possibility to view the SSL certificate’s data by clicking the “View Data” link adjacent to the desired SSL certificate. This will result in an information view:
Clicking the “Restore” link adjacent to the relevant SSL certificate, will show this:
You are asked to acknowledge the fact that restoring the desired SSL certificate will overrun the current one. You can also write your email address in order to be notified when the restore process is over. Click the restore button:
The SSL certificate you wanted to be restored is in process. You can see the restore status using the “Queue” option from the main JetBackup category in your CPANL home page:
Which will lead you to a designated page of your restore status:
And will finally display:
