Restore DNS zone from CPANEL

How to restore DNS zone using CPANEL DNS Zone Backups?

After accessing your CPANEL, you’ll see under “JetBackup” category an icon labeled “DNS Zone Backups”, as demonstrated below:

Click the “DNS Zone Backups” icon for the following page:

This list contains all the DNS zone records which have been backed up by the system. You could generate a downloadable file of each DNS zone backup by clicking the “Generate Download” link. By doing so, you’ll be warned that system saves only 1 download on the server, and older downloads will be deleted. Click the “OK” button to start the download process.

You also have the possibility to view each DNS zone’s data by clicking the “View Data” link:

This will display the desired DNS zone’s information:

Click the “Restore” link in the desired DNS zone line to start the restore process:

You are to confirm that the restored DNS zone will overrun the current one. Click the “Restore” button to continue:

The DNS zoneyou wanted to be restored is in process. You can see the restore status using the “Queue” option from the main JetBackup category in your CPANL home page:

Which will lead you to a designated page of your restore status:
