Running multiple jobs “one-by-one”

Backup Jobs

If there is more then one backup job, and the timing was not calculated right – the jobs might be running simultaneously, which can lead to high server IO and CPU load.To prevent this, there is a special schedule type ( “after other job is done” ) for these cases.

This will only work if you already have one job scheduled regularly (on daily basis for example). Once the first job is done, you can create the second one, and choose “after other job is done” in the schedule type for that job, it will let you choose from previously configured jobs to run after.

Now that the jobs are linked together, the second one will only run when the first one finishes.

*You can also set a delay in minute in which the second job will start.
